Dance for Parkinson’s

The Dance for Parkinson’s program started in the Valley, January of 2012. This program is designed to help with symptoms of Parkinson’s such as balance issues, rigid muscles, posture and slow movement. Dance, along with music, helps to move the participants across the floor and explore different movement patterns.

The piece being performed in June is in collaboration with the Parkinson’s chorus, Tremble Clefs. This will be the first time for these two programs to perform together on stage. This collaboration has been a work in progress, starting with workshops blending singing and dance together. It will be a very special event and it is a blessing to have this opportunity to share it with the community.
